Helping Construction Teams and Clients Work from the Same Project View
Construction companies and their clients were working from different vantage points with no shared environment connecting them. Professionals needed a reliable way to prepare and present project bids, while clients needed to assess those projects in detail and make informed decisions — yet both sides were operating across separate, disconnected tools that made coordination slow and error-prone.
Documentation review, bid evaluation, and stakeholder communication were each handled in isolation. The solution needed to support the full range of activity — from internal project preparation through to external review and estimation — without forcing teams to context-switch between systems or rely on manual handoffs to keep everyone aligned.
Solution
Building a Shared Workspace for Estimation and Project Review
Alverden built a web application that brought estimation and project management workflows into a single collaborative environment. The platform was designed to serve both construction teams and their clients — giving each side the tools they needed within a shared, structured space.
The core of the platform supported creating, managing, and sharing project bids organised around a consistent folder structure. Users could upload and review documentation across multiple formats, browse projects from various sources, and use a dedicated viewer to examine materials in the level of detail that project evaluation actually requires.
Beyond review, the platform included an in-built takeoff tool for project estimation and controls for filtering out irrelevant projects from active searches. Sharing project details with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers was handled within the platform, keeping external collaboration visible and traceable.

Create, manage, and share construction project bids in a structured workflow. Teams can organise bids within a consistent folder structure, making it straightforward to navigate across multiple active projects and maintain a clear record of what has been submitted and shared.
Project Documentation Review
Upload and review project documentation across multiple formats — including images, audio, and video — through a dedicated viewer interface. The viewer was built to support the level of detail required for serious project evaluation, not just file browsing.
Search and Project Filtering
Quickly search across projects from multiple sources and surface the most relevant opportunities. Users can hide projects that are no longer of interest, keeping day-to-day work focused without permanently removing anything from the system.
Estimation and External Collaboration
Support in-platform project takeoff with a built-in estimation tool. Project details and documentation can be shared directly with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers — reducing the need to coordinate through external channels.
